My Web Design Process - Step by Step
Instead of just telling you what I can do, I like to show it. Here’s a step-by-step look at how I design a website that’s tailored to your needs.
Kickoff
Kickoff is the first step of every project — this is when we get to know each other, talk through the idea, and gather everything we need to start building. For example, let’s suppose a client wants a website for their travel agency, Aurora Horizons. They reach out with their vision, we discuss their goals, the type of travelers they want to attract, and the style they’re imagining. They share logos, photos, and content, and I make sure I have all the details to begin creating their website step by step. This is how that conversation might look like:

HTML
Once we’ve gathered everything in the Kickoff step, the first thing I do is build the structure of the website using HTML. For our example client, Aurora Horizons, this means laying out all the pages, headings, images, and links in a clean, organized way. As you can see, with HTML alone, the site has all the content in place, but it still looks very plain and basic — there’s no styling, no colors, and no layout adjustments. It’s functional, but not yet visually engaging. This step is essential, though, because it ensures the content is correctly structured before adding design and interactivity.
CSS
After the basic HTML structure is in place, the next step is styling the site with CSS. For Aurora Horizons, this is where the website starts to come to life — I add colors that match the brand, choose fonts that feel friendly and professional, and adjust spacing and layouts so the content is easy to read. Suddenly, what was a plain, functional page now looks polished and visually appealing. As you can see, CSS transforms the simple HTML skeleton into a site that represents the travel agency’s personality, making it inviting for visitors to explore their tours and destinations.
JavaScript
Once the site looks polished with CSS, it’s time to add interactivity with JavaScript. For Aurora Horizons, this is what turns a static, boring site into an engaging experience. I add things like slideshows for their tour images, dropdown menus for destinations, and subtle animations that make the site feel alive. Suddenly, visitors can interact with the content, explore different tours easily, and enjoy a smooth browsing experience. JavaScript brings the website to life, making it both functional and fun to use.
Backend & Django

For Aurora Horizons, Django powers everything behind the scenes: managing tour listings, handling booking requests, processing contact forms, and keeping all the data secure and organized.
